1. The Right-of-Way Belongs to Circulating Traffic

Drivers approaching the roundabout must yield to vehicles already inside the circular roadway. Do not attempt to merge. Wait for a safe gap in traffic before entering.

2. Standard Navigation Procedures

• Reduce Speed: Decrease vehicle speed to 15–25 mph upon approach.
• Yield to the Left: Look to the left and yield to all circulating vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians in the crosswalk.
• Enter When Clear: Enter the roundabout counter-clockwise when a sufficient gap in traffic presents itself.
• Maintain Continuous Motion: Do not stop once inside the roundabout.
• Signal to Exit: Activate the right-turn signal immediately prior to the desired exit to inform trailing drivers.

3. Large Vehicle Accommodations

Commercial trucks, emergency vehicles, and towing combinations require a wider turning radius.

• Do not attempt to pass large vehicles within the roundabout.
• Maintain a safe distance and allow these vehicles to utilize the central truck apron if necessary.
